1. Promote renters’ rights in your neighborhood.
Join the renters’ rights assembly, a program of the Jane Place Neighborhood Sustainability initiative. Reach out to us at frank@jpnsi.org to volunteer.
2. Fight housing discrimination
Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center upholds the Fair Housing act in our state, and one of the ways they catch discrimination is by sending in testers, mock-prospective tenants, to identify unlawful discrimination and to ensure that individuals or companies are in compliance with the Federal Fair Housing Act.
