CBNO Executive Director Nellie Catzen was interviewed on the organization’s “Meet the Candidates” experience at the festival.

“With the October 11th election just a week after the festival, the National Fried Chicken Festival is partnering with the Urban League of Louisiana and the Committee for a Better New Orleans (CBNO) to provide attendees with the opportunity to speak with candidates.

‘This event is about breaking down barriers between everyday residents and the people running for office,’ said Nellie Catzen, Executive Director of the Committee for a Better New Orleans. ‘There’s no substitute for meeting candidates face-to-face, hearing their priorities, and letting them hear yours.’”
