Welcome, Kevin!

We’re thrilled to announce our new full-time Program Manager has joined the team! Please join us in welcoming Kevin Kellup. He’ll be responsible for delivering and strengthening CBNO’s civic education programs, and we are so excited to have him on the team.

Kevin Kellup is a grassroots community organizer, informal educator, and cross-sectorial collaborator, who brings eighteen years of experience working in public systems such as the Recovery School District of New Orleans, AmeriCorps State/National and AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, as well as City government.

In his last role as a Senior Liaison and Director of Neighborhood Capacity Building with the Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office, Kevin worked closely with community and City leadership to oversee and deliver the Neighborhood Leaders’ Roundtable program and the Civic Leadership Academy. Before then, Kevin served as the lead Education Coordinator with Energy Wise Alliance where he focused on reaching and teaching more than twenty thousand students over a span of seven years across the state of Louisiana through the Energy Smart for Kids and Entergy Solutions School Kits programs.

Kevin is a native-born son of New Orleans and graduated from the New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School in 2007. Kevin attended Dillard University studying Spanish, Portuguese, and Brazilian Studies before changing his major to Psychology, and then to Business Administration. Kevin is currently working on continuing his studies at the Tulane School of Professional Advancement.
