Better New Orleans Block Party reclaimed public space for public joy

Our inaugural Better New Orleans Block Party was a SMASHING success!

Wow. What a Saturday we had together. On Saturday, March 23rd, CBNO brought a vision to life on Saint Roch Avenue: A community engagement event that’s truly engaging, a space to bring community leaders together to celebrate, connect, and collaborate. Over 350 people attended our event on a perfect spring day. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, and such a deep community spirit was palpable in the air. It was our best event yet.

Together, we…

Highlighted 15 community organizations making the City a better place, gathering hundreds of sign-ups and 70+ community data surveys...

Boosted the sales of 8 local artisans and small businesses...

TOT’S FOOD TRUCK • ASIAN OUTDOOR KITCHEN • EATALIAN HAPPY ICE • ELEKRTRA COSMETICS • DYNAMO • E&E ESSENTIALS • DEB’S ACCESSORIES

Danced to the sweet sounds of Caesar’s Brothers Funkbox and the Preservation Hall All Stars...

Inspired hundreds of New Orleanians to dream together with our first-ever Civic Arts Challenge winners Arterias Gallery, Lissie Stewart, and Jessica Legaux...

gave away 50 trees in partnership with the Faubourg St. Roch Improvement Association…
