We help advocates, community groups, and coalitions navigate and influence the City’s Annual Operating Budget. We also work to make the budget process better— we want to see transparency, accountability, and community input in the budget process.

Why care about the budget?

The City Budget is a moral document— where we spend our tax dollars is directly related to our city’s ability to provide services. Linking real dollars and city departments to the things New Orleanians see and feel in their communities every day makes wonky civic budgeting real: potholes get filled, parks get programming, and our streets get safer.
