The Committee for a Better New Orleans/Metropolitan Area Committee

(CBNO/MAC) is a racially and culturally diverse group whose mission is to provide leadership and catalyze change toward the achievement of a Blueprint for a Better New Orleans.  CBNO/MAC will accomplish its mission by providing and maintaining an advocacy role that encourages the kinds of partnership, collaboration and candid conversation that reflect the interests of the citizens of New Orleans.

CBNO/MAC's 160 members work on six individual Task Forces, addressing City Management and Finance, Economic and Workforce Development, Education, Housing and Neighborhood Development, Public Safety, and Transportation.  To learn more about these Task Forces, and the specific projects on which they are working, please click here

The goals and objectives established by the Task Forces are contained in the Blueprint for a Better New Orleans.  This document describes the CBNO/MAC vision, and drives the Committee's work. Click here to read or print out a copy of the Blueprint for a Better New Orleans.

As a nonprofit organization, CBNO/MAC depends on contributions from foundations, corporations and individuals in order to achieve its objectives.
